How We Got Started

Since it's  rustic  beginnings  in the kitchen of  Dunsavage Farms,  overlooking the town of  New York Texas  (population 12)  back  in  1986,  the   New  York Texas  Cheesecake Company   has  been about providing a quality product from our family to yours. This tradition  has carried  on through the past 20 years as the business has grown to include new owners and a great new location.  Darla  has owned the company since 2006.   She  is a  Yuchi  Indian  and  citizen of the Muscogee C reek Nation of Oklahoma.  NYTXCC is now a Native American Business.

Still using the same century old Pensylvania-Dutch recipe, these cakes have a wonderful, creamy texture that   has   won  a  featured spot on the  2003  &  2004  Food  Finds  Thanksgiving  Specials,  on the Food  Network   as   well  as  being  previously  selected for the Neiman Marcus Catalog.   The  rave  reviews continue   from Texas Monthly, Bon Apetite, The  New Yorker Magazine, Beverly Hills Post and Texas Highways Magazine, just to name a few.

Our cheesecakes continue to be made by hand in small batches the old-fashioned way, using only the finest and freshest ingredients, all natural flavorings and no preservatives.  

Currently  available  in five flavors year-around,  as well as several seasonal  favorites, you're sure  to
find just the right cheesecake to please everyone's sweet tooth.  And for those friends and family with diabetic restrictions, we also offer our  "Guilt Free"  version  of  the  creamy  Original,  which has been
awarded the Heart's D'Lite Seal of Approval by Trinity Mother Francis Health System.  

All of our great cakes can be kept in the freezer for up to four months, making them a great item to keep on hand for those unexpected guests or last minute gifts.
